Ok guys, after long thinking I have decied to try paint my AR but I would like to know thoughts of those who ´ve been there and done that. How durable is Krylon. How long curing time does it need? Is it possible to take off afterwards if goof up something? How about finish, how flat is finish? I would also like to see pics of camoed AR´s. Feel free and post your comments. Thank you, MN |
Once again that is one BADASS camo job.

I have a base coat of tan, how did you get the "splottchy" effect with the light color on yours? Did you use a stencil? TIA! |
I have found that a venison breakfast sausage that a local processer makes is excellent in chili and other meat based sauses. So I usually just get tenderloins, steaks, amybe a roast or two and the rest in the breakfast sausage. Bob |
Yep. Plus my local locker plant made a great venison summer sausage. But they burnt to the ground last month. BTW, great camo jobs guys. |
What the hell does that have to do with camo AR's ?

OK, here is my Krylonized Bushy M4. I only painted furniture so far but when I have time I put this beater to little pieces and cover it with OD Krylon. I have one question about digi camo pattern. How do you guys do it? Do you use some kind of taping or what? ![]() bigger pic ![]() bigger pic ![]() bigger pic ![]() bigger pic ![]() bigger pic ![]() bigger pic |
| I used duplicolr high tempwerature engine paints and bake the part on 300 degrees for an hour and you end up with a finish that looks as good and is rough to the touch like anodizing until you use it a bit rub it down with oil when you clean it and it smoothes out nice. |
