I bought a Colt detachable carry handle of the EE. How do I know for sure I got what I paid for? No pics but there is an A 9 on the left side of the handle up by the aperture. Thats the only marking. I also must admit that the metal work on the inside (surface)of the handle is a bit shabby looking, looks a bit rough. How can i tell if its Colt..thanks guys!

| Colt uses different vendors to get their forgings so you will see different markings on them. I have never seen a Colt carry handle with a "C" on it yet. The "A9" is a mark I have seen on Colt and Colt does'nt clean up the forging markes on the inside of the handle part. The current Colt one I have now that came on a MT6400C is the same way. |
| I've seen "A" followed by just about every number, "AB", "AH", and a few other "A" followed by a letter combo. Recently Colt carry handles have been seen with the Cardinal Forge mark on them. I guess what I am saying is if it's not blatently colored Colt grey, or you didn't take it directly off a factory Colt rifle, you really won't know. |
