Thinking of buying one of these, mostly because of the FAL mag use, and chrome chamber/bore. Has anyone had any experience with it? How many parts interchange with the standard BM AR, specifically the trigger group?

I thought the BM 308 didn't offer chrome lining. Have they finally started offering it now?

I was told by two different dealers that it did, but it's hard to tell without breaking the rifle down, which neither one wanted me to do.

I would check with Bushmaster on the chrome bore and also if the FC group is interchangable. Just give them a call.......

Bushmaster's website says steel barrel, not chrome lined. Your dealers are probably telling you that because they are used to the chrome lining of Bushmaster's AR15's.

Unless, Bushmaster just hasn't updated their site yet for the new barrel offering. There are several BM 308 owners here, I'm sure they'll be by shortly to give you the low down on the exact specs.
