I've had my RRA AR15 for about a month now and i dont miss one weekend at the shooting range!  How often do you guys shoot your guns?  the shooting range is so addictive here cuz its 6.50 for all day pistol and rifle! What a deal. I'm just wondering the average life of an AR if i'm shooting every weekend around 200 rounds.  Thanks in advance.

At that rate you will need to replace your barrel in five years worst case.

I try to go to the outdoor range about once a week.  During the winter sometimes less (range is closed due to weather).  The fee is high, $12.00 an hour.  I go to another range (indoor-pistol and rifle) about $5.00 an hour cause I'm a member, however it's a longer drive.

Never been to a range.......ever. It's great having a farmstead on a small hill overlooking a field that's 625yds back to an old railroad.

I guess I haven't suffered too much

I shoot nearly every day I am off but Sundays. I roll my own and call this continuous shooting "load testing" I shot today!! I am a forever tinkerer and love trying new mods and testing "theories". Got my split pins today and going to see if the play in an AR really does not hurt. Also have wieghts in different sizes that will go in the back of the bolt/carrier for "tuning" testing for different loads.  Built a "barrel tunner" today and can not wait to play with it.

Hehe I shoot 1-2 days a week on our property. I even put snow shoes to tread out back and play.

On days I don't shoot the dogs and I run back and forth up the trails trying to make a path through the frigin snow.

I shoot any day it's at least 30 degrees and the wind is not in my face. That  translates to about 2-3 times a week, with 2 rifles (AR+ak/SKS/FAL/K31/Mauser/Mosin-Nagant) and 200 rounds each.
