The FSB is'nt going to help much.  Some of those are forged by the same company and then used by Colt, Bushmaster, etc., those markings on yours are made when the FSB was forged, they are not stamped into it.   I think Colt, Bushmaster, Etc. buy these forgings from vendors and then machine them to their specifications. I have a Colt and a Bushmaster with the same identically marked FSB's.

Thanks for the info..

This bbl has no markings at all anywhere.. Its chrome lined I am sure, heavy under the handguards, but not a damn mark anyplace.. Twist looks  to be 1/9, ad I compared it visually to my BM 11.5"..Phosphate/ park is very ala Colt.. But???

Anyone else?

I've seen a ton of Bushmaster barrels with the crown forging mark, but never with any numbers of any kind.  It is very hard to tell the make of a barrel from the forging marks on the FSB.

For reference, I have a factory 11.5"/5.5" Bushmaster barrel and it is stamped "B MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 HBAR" under the handguards.

This one is an 11.5" shorty.. I looked everywhere and there isnt a mark on it besides the FSB.. This came on my Oly/PAWS coversion, I have no idea if its the orig bbl.. If it is the gun itself was done in '85.. Its mated to a Marietta A1 upper..

The thing is fine, shoots well, just like to know who made it if possible..

It is likely that you will never know, from what you have to work with.  BUT, that FSB with the R 8 Crown may be a start.  Who knows??
