Which would be better for 100-200 yard shooting on an OLY K8 targetmatch flat top.

or the BSA 3.5-10x50 CatsEye for $79.95 towards the top of the page on www.samplelist.com

To be honest those prices are very close to what you would pay for a weaver k6 fixed scope . The clearer
sight picture will allow you to shoot better than a cheaper variable. Just my 2cents.

I would put my money on the BSA as far your two choices go.

Werd, I cannot believe how one users good luck with the Leapers somehow turned this into an acceptable scope. The last Leapers I used was a big POS, would not hold zero new out of the box.

For 100-300 yard work I really like the Burris Fullfield II in 3-9x40.  It is a quality optic, has bullet drop compensation, and can be bought for under $200.  (I got one for $187 brand new!).

To me anything less is just that...  less.

Save your money and buy a quality scope. Your eyes will thank you and you will spare yourself a lot of grief.

Yeah but the guy that has the good luck with it uses it in Iraq on his issue weapon and there is an 8 page thread of people that have had the same results.  Heck, I can shit in a box and mark it for $800 and all it would be is an $800 peice of shit.  If anything they made didn't work the least little bit then I would guess they wouldn't sell anything because they would be out of business.

I bought a cheap scope and a cheap laser for a neutered Bushmaster 16' and they both suck. They both lasted a couple weeks and ran good but then one day the lasers mount cracked and broke, no laser.

The scope held up a little better but after 400 rounds or so it seems to have lost it's ability to stay sighted in and the mounts always come loose lol.

I read all the reviews and opinions of people saying buy a good scope and I didn't listen and it was money wasted but hey, everyone needs to learn that lesson themselves, as I found out.

I personally have had horrible luck with Leapers and BSA

Simmons however has been good to me.

Nikon, Leupold, Zeiss  and Trijicon have been better to me though

The Bushnell Elite 3200 in a fixed 10x w/ mil-dot and target turrents is a pretty good scope.  I think they are about $150 through MidwayUSA or Natchez Shooter's Supply, can't remember which...LL...

Check the tacked Optics Forum Post ..........HERE

It has an entry labeled Cheap Scope Opinions

Maybe of value to you.

My advice would be to save up .

Don't sacrifice the grocery money, but seriously, optics are a "best you can afford" pursuit, in my opinion
