A friend of a friend has a Colt HBAR she want to sell. She is not a “gun person” and can’t really help me identify the rifle. (I have not seen the rifle yet.) Anyway, it is a Colt Match Target, 20” A2 with a fixed stock and a 1:7 twist barrel. She said it has a FS, but from the description it sounds more like a MB. She is unsure when she acquired the rifle. The serial number is CMH0218xx. Can anyone help me determine if this is a pre-ban rifle? What do you think is a fair value for it? She is thinking in the $1000 area. It has less than 300 rounds through it. Thanks. |

See this link. It is a post ban. $1K sounds high to me for a used post ban Colt. However, I really don't follow Colt's prices that closely. |
