And before you jump on me for asking a stupid question like this..... the R6520 upper is NIB complete with b/c/ch and its only $500.   If I want a R6920 upper it's going to be $800ish.  So I guess the real question that I'm asking is...well... is the side sling mount, wide forearm, flat top upper, and M4 profile barrel worth the extra $300+ and extra weight?

ETA: I don't plan on mounting optics any time in the near future... (next 2-3 years) because of college tuition.

It's worth it to me.  Then again, I am an esthetics whore.

I actually prefer my 6520 as compared to the M4, the M4 looks good but cant justify the extra money

the price you can get the 6520 upper for ($500) is a fantastic price, you'd be foolish not to get it

if you dont, give me the info, I'll buy it

CMS, is this upper from a dealer? If so, do they have any more? <crosses fingers>

$500 is a steal, and I'll be very upset with you if you pass it up

I definitely plan on buying the upper...I was just looking to see if there was any significant reason why I should spend $300 more to get a M4 upper.  Personally I like the LTWT barrel.  I had a Sporter II Carbine for a while and it had the same profile barrel.  Light and shot great just as long as  you didn't warm it up too much.  Anyone else prefer the 6520 over the 6920?

Hello,
I like them both, but I too really like the slightly lighter weight of the 6520. I recently mated one I got with a Rock River Arms lower, and it works well and the color is a good match.  I did not get as good a deal as you, so pounce!

Thats it....but I think the $499 deal is over.  I emailed and they are $599 now.  Still a great price!  I've been looking for a good while so I'm picking one up before something comes along and drains the wallet again.
