I'd really appreciate some good advice (which as I see, is usually the standard around here). First off, I have a preban Colt with a M4 barrel/perm attatched vortex flash hider that I've owned for 11 years now and among other things get unbelievable accuracy with.. I currently use the Colt double heat-shield forend and am willing to try out one of those aluminum forends with rails that accept vertical grips. No one in my neck of the woods has one and my question is "How do they secure so tightly as to not move around?"...(My heat shield moves slightly if forced. I've also seen pictures of forward mounted Aimpoints...) Which one do you recomend for me and why? Please keep in mind that I am not willing to remove the barrel for one of the possibly nicer free floating forends. Thanks in advance for your advice. Steve |
