Ok I am new here and did a lot of reading an searching before posting. Great site! I am pretty sure I narrowed my ar decision down to the RRA a4 16 car. www.rockriverarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=AR1221X&storeid=1&image=nbrcara4.gif&CFID=1514904&CFTOKEN=12348006&jsessionid=c0307f609ac5$B6$B5$5 I would like to put an Eotech optic on it. Should I get this dominator mount? www.rockriverarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=AR0125EASSY&storeid=1&image=rradom.gif&CFID=1514904&CFTOKEN=12348006&jsessionid=c0307f609ac5$B6$B5$5 Or mount it directly to the flat top and get a flip up rear sight? I want to be able to use the back up Iron sights without removing the optic. Opinions on the chrome lined barrel vs. the stainless one? |

Welcome to the site. RRA makes a great product, it's tough to come by right now but RBPRECISION usually carrys them. You can't go wrong with RRA. It's a little less than Bushmaster but just as good from my experience. If you have money, go with an LMT upper. ![]() I use a ARMS 40 & 40L but want to try the dominator myself. |

I've got a RRA 16" A4 upper on my AR and I love it. Ordered it from RB Precision with a YHM lightweight rail and a RRA tactical muzzle break. http://www4.pbase.com/boomer10/image/38318539/medium.jpg |

| ++++++1 on RBPrecison! They got mine to me faster than they said they could! I also got the CAR A4. I love this little rifle. I got the midlength I suggest that you get it also. I like the longer sight radius! I also got the YHM quad rail. Only thing I recommend is seeing if you can get the two piece rail instead of the one piece as you can take the two piece off without removing the FS. I also recommend the ARMS#40 BUIS I love mine. Have put about 600 rounds through it since November without a single hickup! You will also find that you can't beat the prices from RBPrecision! Good luck and good choice on RRA. |
| I've got 2 RRAs, well, 1 factory gun and 1 I built. The factory one is a National Match A2, which has been flawless, and accurate as anything. By flawless I mean NEVER had a problem of any kind since I've owned it, except when I used junk ammo (Q3131 from a bad lot). The other one is a 16" carbine built on an RRA lower and RRA A4 upper, with RRA internals, bolt carrier group, and 6 position stock. The only trouble I had with this was my fault. I got light primer strikes occasionally because I put the hammer spring in backwards. I cannot give enough praise to RRA's components. I would reccomend you build one yourself, it's cheaper and is surprisingly easy. Total cost for mine was about $875 with shipping everything to me (and that includes an LMT BUIS, CMMG chrome lined barrel, and YHM free float quad rail). If you wanted a comparable rifle from RRA it would cost $1,170 retail and I still have the advantage of a lighter barrel (RRA is notorious for having heavy carbine barrels) with a 1/7 twist. Granted, I don't have a 2 stage match trigger but I dont want a 2 stage on a battle rifle anyway. I have it on the A2 and it's a great trigger but does not fit my needs on a carbine. Eagle firearms, ADCO, RBPrecison, they are all good and very competitively priced. You can't go wrong with an RRA unless you get the "Tactical Carry Handle." Dominator mount is probably not necessary. MJD |
