| I am attempting to buy a new Bushmaster carbine. None to be had in the local area and my gun dealer stated that when he contacted Bushmaster directly they stated that its taking approximately six weeks to fill orders. |
There is extremely high demand, and extremely low supply, affecting all of the top-tier AR manufacturers right now, due to the WoT and the end of the AWB. Put in your order and wait patiently, and you'll be happy in the long run. -Troy |

Hey Verk, my brother purchased a no-ban Bushy M4A2 from Academy about three weeks ago for $799 ($863 out the door). I don't know where in Texas you live, but give Academy a try. I've seen no-ban Bushys at Academys in Humble, the Woodlands, and Lufkin. While your there you can also pick up some Butler Creek Hot Lips 25rd mags for your 10-22 for $19.95. These are truely heady days we live in. |
I know it will be worth the wait. Since I ordered my 16 inch carbine with a A2 upper and a bird cage flash suppressor I was told this week that its going to take 8-10 weeks as opposed to 6 weeks I was quoted. I thought the hot ticket item was the carbines with the A3 uppers and that maybe I could get a A2 a little quicker. Turns out to be just the opposite. Go figure. Anyway, I will prepare for a 10 week wait and hope that it comes in earlier. Thanks to everyone who provided inputs and encouragement. |
| I have been wondering about the quality controls as of late. I ordered one but all the ones that have come in as of late are piss poor when it comes to match up. The upppers are almost jet black and the lowers have been gray. Sure it may work, but Bushie can or at least used to do better. |

I would work with local dealers for complete rifles. I was on the market for an M4A3 and put the word in with a reliable FFL around my town. I had the rifle in less then two weeks. Granted there was some luck involved, however it seems to be the local guys that have a trickle of rilfles coming in. eddited to add: It is well worth the wait. My rifle shoots like a champ and is well put together and looks good. Bushmaster is doing its best in a market where demand surpasses supply by a long shot:) |

Well...I guess I got really lucky. I purchased an M4A3 Bushmaster from a local dealer at a gun show yesterday. Paid around 875 tax and all. It had the removable carry handle and a 14.5 barrell with lug and flash hider. He also threw in an extra 30 rd mag. This is my first AR and I am learning a lot from this sight. AR Newbie |
| I happened to run across a complete lower at the local gun store so needless to say I snagged it. They also had just gotten in a used Bushmaster lower with a Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf upper. But I could only afford the lower oh well one of these days I'll pick me up a .50 Beowulf upper. |
| I have two barrels on order right now also. I ask the same question about two week ago on this board and was told to stop whinning. I not saying that to you, I just thought it was rude of the person to say that. Probably because I don't have 2000 post like that loser. Not trying to take your thread over so it looks like we all have to wait for are stuff. |
Yeah, when I ordered mine, they told me about 8 or 10 weeks. Oh well, it will be here when it gets here. I have other toys till then. At least they're not rushing them out the door. Quality controls and all that I hope. It will be worth the wait. |
