I'm thinkin' about buying an Ambi-Catch. Does anyone have one of these? What have your experiences been with it?

Also, is Norgon the only one that makes one of these? Between $75-$90 seems kinda steep.

I'll gladly pay it if it's worth it, but a cheaper alternative would be great.

Feedback would be appreciated.

expensive, but essential if you're a lefty.  run through a carbine class with a lot of speed and tac reloads and you'll be glad you have one.

Definitely worth it if you are looking at making your rifle work either for a lefty or ambidextriously.  They are spendy but they are the best of the ambi mag catches, IMO.

I agree with militarymoron. Norgon makes the best, yes expensive but worth it.  I'm a lefty and all my rifles are equipped with them.

I've got one, but I'm still training myself to use it.  After years of using my right thumb to drop mags, I've got a hard habit to break.  It can be hard to find with your finger sometimes, because it is just below the bolt release.  but I still think it is well worth the money.  I just need to shoot a lot more to retrain my fingers....

Should be a standard part on all lowers, works perfectly, expensive, but you only buy it once (per lower).

Big +1 on that!

Couldn't have said it better myself....

Are their any board dealers that carry it?  Or do you have to buy it directly from Norgon.
