Depends what your intended purpose is. On a work gun, a flash hider is more often useful. But on a recreational weapon a muzzle brake can have benefits. Most every cometition rifle you will see will have a brake/muzzle rise compensator of some sort to make follow up shots faster. The less the gun moves the easier to retain sight picture. They are also useful, for the same reason, if you are trying to see your hits on targets at distance. Trick is to configure to best suit your intended use. We sell a lot of uppers with both. Then you can use whichever best matches your need at the time. The Y-Comps are way too loud, but there are less obnoxious ones available. |
