They're falling into disfavor.  The only thing they turned out to be good for was to reduce copper fouling.  They are not faster (in fact if anything they're a bit slower).  they're not more accurate.  And if you mix moly with steel and water it can mar the surface of the steel.  Folks are getting away from using them for these reasons.  I talked to a Sierra Bullets tech hotline guy a couple of months ago and he said they're going to quit offering them.

They were basically a gimmick, like cryo-treating barrels.  Some guy gets some bright idea, every one jumps on the band wagon, and that guy makes a bunch of $$$.  Meanwhile, it's raining and your moly bullets are ruining your stainless steel barrel.

I first read about these over on snipercountry.com back when they came out and I had a bad feeling about them at the time and steered clear - sounded like snake oil, ya know? - and now I'm glad I did.

click on this link (beware dialup) and scroll down.  There's a photo of this guy's barrel where he put some moly on it and left it wet overnight.  OUCH!

By the way, this guy has an interesting site and he knows what he's talking about.  Former US govt engineer....
