| Post pictures of your SBR's. I am thinking of getting one and would like to see the different configurations out there and am sure others would too. Thanks! |
That gun ROCKS!!! Sweeeeet camo! I'd love to see a pic of it with the stock collapsed. |

Is the fireball so much that it would blind you if used in-doors at nights? |

Super Cool! Thx Action Jackson |
Depends on the ammo. M193 is pretty nasty out of it. We once made our on "light show" by putting the upper on a friend's RR and shooting it in a pitch black range. It was amazing. 30 rounds later, and I couldn't see shit! Wolf and PMC isn't as bad, but still makes a nasty flame in the dark. Haven't tried it with a better FH (like Vortex or Phantom), as they might help considerably. Not the best home defense weapon, but still cool as hell. Maybe the flame could burn the burglar!! |
Plus, Hollow points fragment in wall board and don't over penetrate like some handgun rounds and will still defeat body-armored drug runners. More accurate than a hand gun, shoots further, 30 rds in a single mag.....hug.gif |
My friend has a SBR (which I have a hard on for as well) and he doesn't have anything like that engraved on the receiver. He's a Class II manufacturer so maybe he plays by different rules though. I agree these are some just straight up badass ARs. I think the gas tube has to be wrapped around the barrel or some crazy design has to be made in order for it to function correctly. I'm sure one of the guys could chime in. My question for you lucky fellas, do you just register the receiver, pay $200 and then you're good to go? What if I take this weapon out to the range, do I have to carry any kind of rediculous papers? Thanks! |
Wow - nice collection! Love the A1 - did you modify the HG or did you purchase them as a shorty? What kinda barrels are you running on those ? any reliability issues? |
sweet 7.5". Did you have to do anything special to get it to run well? This is almost exactly what I'm going to do once my tax stamp arrives so any insight/tips you have would be much appreciated. Thanks! Jeff |
Quote from BravoCompany USA:
Thank you, sir. The A1 at the top has the original Colt carbine handguards and has a pre-ban Bushmaster barrel. The bayonet lug has since been shaved off. It also has the flat slip-ring instead of the delta. handguards, slip ring, and barrel courtesy Billbo from EE. The M4 is LMT and is stock and came from Wes at MSTN The A2 is an RRA M4 barrel that I got here from pale_pony from EE. The XMs are both Colts, One was a post-ban HBAR, the other post-ban lightweight. Buttstocks, triangular handguards, three-prong duck-bill and XM non-NFA moderator courtesy of WA Tom at Total Silence, Inc. Except for the LMT, all barrels were chopped, shaved, threaded, profiled (the HBARS to lightweight), and the gas ports opened to 0.093" by ADCO. 100% reliability. The M4 has the LMT enhanced bolt with McFarland gas rings. The others also have McFarland gas rings, Wolff extractor springs, D-fenders, and I'm running them with "H" buffers. The 601 is actually the most fun to shoot and the three-prong flash suppressor is surprisingly efficient and attracts the most attention at the range, where you can't swing a dead cat without hitting someone with a tricked-out M4... |

Y'all make me very jealous and somewhat sad. No SBR/SBS allowed in Alabama. It's not all bad - we can have F/A and suppression, just not the short barrels. We try to pass a new law repealing that prohibition every year, but our State House still has a slight Democrat majority (hold-over from the days of the Dixiecrats) and until that changes it wil never see the light of day... But for this archaic law, 'Bama is otherwise a very gun-friendly state. Enjoy 'em for us, guys! |
None of my rifles have one of those wrap around gas tubes, they all work just fine. The suppressed 10-inch does have a smaller gas port in the barrel to run dedicated suppressed. If you take the can off, the weapon will not cycle, it is designed to run only with the can on. The 11.5-inch bushmaster is just straight up what Bushmaster sells, that’s the mule, it’s had right at 9000 rounds through it.
Just follow the directions for the Form 1 and send it all off with your check for $200 and wait. Any time any of my weapons leave the safe, there’s paperwork going along too. I just keep a copy of everything in my range bag and also a copy of things in any case that might be used to transport the weapon, also keep a copy in the safe, the originals stay in the bank. |
Wow! What did you have to do to the gas system to get that thing to run reliably? |
That kicks all kinds of ass right there. |
It’s got a big hole in the top of that barrel! The gas doesn’t get adjusted much, the bypass stays closed for the most part. With the right ammo though (Talon remanufactured), it’ll throw a flame the size of a trash can. Thanks for the kind words Spade |
Wow my thoughts exactly!!!! |
