Alright fellas, I'm new to this forum and soon going to be a new owner of a Bushmaster carbine.  I just need some help deciding which one to get.  Their website description of the 16in Carbine w/h Birdcage Suppressor says that the rear sight adjusts from 300 to 800 meters and compensates for bullet drop.  Is this just with the A2 upper and this model only, or is it the A2 and A3 and on all models?  Also, should I go with Izzy or Birdcage, and M4 type or standard?  Any help will be appreciated.

It really comes down to personal preference my friend. I chose to go with the M4 model but see nothing wrong with the 16" barrel. If you want to use a birdcage, you will have to get a 16" carbine, as the birdcage is too short for the 14.5" M4 Barrel.

As far as the sights go, if you opt to go with the A3 configuration, Bushmaster will deliver the gun with a removable carry handle/rear sight setup. If you plan on getting optics for your gun, (Eotech, Aimpoint, etc.) you may want to go ahead and get the A3 set up. Not that you can't mount optics on the A2 carry handle, but most people don't like their optics sitting so high on the reciever.

Welcome to the board, I hope this helped.

Get the 16 carbine, birdcage, A3.  In other words, the XM15 E2S Carbine in the A3 version.

Why?  That's what I'm getting.
