I have a question regarding DPMS chambers.  I see they say their chambers are .223 remington.  Now I know there are differences between 5.56 nato and .223 rem, nato being more powerful and slightly different sized.  Is it safe to shoot 5.56 nato thru a DPMS stamped .223 remington uppers? Thanks

Here's a thread you need to read: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=206458

Believe this is the one where your question is discussed in detail.

Pay attention to the DPMS response there.

Thanks, the bottom line I get from that thread is if it is marked .223 that's all you should shoot through it.  If it is marked 5.56 you can shoot either.
