Can't make up my mind on Bushy M4A3 16" Patrolman's Carbine or Lightweight A3 16".  There was a thread I saw about this that I want to read and I have searched for it but have come up short.  Anyone have this info?  I know what you're thinking, but no, I can't afford both.

Lightweight, I prefer to my 14.5" M4+Phantom - so I can't imagine adding a few more ounces with the 16" patrolman's barrel is going to improve the situation.

Get the lightweight over the M4.  I doubt many of us will be attaching grenade launchers on a daily basis, so we dont really need the M4 profile

Uhh you can attach a GL to the Lightweight profile - they have to notch the M4 to get that area to LW profile so they can attach the GL.  The notch isn't needed if the barrel is already the proper diameter.

If you dont need more sustained, accurate fire at longer ranges...
If you dont need the more rigid M4 barrel to defelect less when a suppressor is attached...
If you dont have to have a milspec profile...
If you dont use full auto...
If you dont have magnification on your rifle...

Get a light weight.

Not many 1/7 lightweights out there though...

Don't forget the 6530 as well. The Sporter Lightweight Carbine. Same barrel, just no bayonet lug.

The difference in weight isn't much, go with whatever is going to make you happy.  You've got a couple different choices out there....

Lightweight 16" w/ A1 FS

14.5" M4 w/Phantom FS

16" M4 w/A2 FS

Hey Stickman,
How about a pic of that purdy 20" LW while you're at it?
