| My favorite name for my carry gun is Betty Lucy. At any time in public my wife can ask me if I'm carrying by simply asking if I've heard from Betty Lucy, LOL. Anyway, was trying to think of a name for my new Bushmaster. A friend recommended the name Brady and honoring the death of the AWB. I laughed at first then thought "no way", I don't want to talk about the AWB ever again. Anyway, post your gun names here! |

All of mine have a reason ArmaLite AR-180B: Erin. It's an IRA rifle after all, and she requested that it be named for her. Romanian SAR-1: Miranda. They're both cheap, easy, and just anybody anybody can make it go "bang". Remington .22 LR pump action: This fails to fire a lot. It's named Melanie. It looks like a lot of fun at first, but then turns out to be a real bitch. Winchester M70: Anna. Second rifle, second girl I ever gave a damn about. CAR-15: No name yet, haven't finished putting it together. |

Just one "named" weapon in my collection. My oldest and bestest Colt .45 MkIV Series 70. We call it "The Judge", as in the old west "Judge Colt and his Jury of 6". But it's seven jurors with this judge. "How say ye one and all?" Guilty Guilty Guilty Guilty Guilty Guilty (click) (stovepipe) (racking sound) GUILTY! And it is a handy code word when we're out in public, if one of the family gets nervous about something, they ask "Where's the Judge?" |

Old Timey rifles are named Betsy. My Cabelas .50 Hawken would be Ol' Betsy, if I named it. Most of my ARs are stuck with their manufacturers name, the Colt, the Bushy, the Cav, except for the RRAs they are the Fulton, the LMT etc... I like the share the wealth, and support the community.
An almost +1, the Cav is her favorite color, and she would'a hated that. |
