I was researching the best Lower Receiver for the money. What do you guys think is the best quality for the price that you pay? Also any thought on the best kits suppliers for the money. Thanks in advance Mike |
| I am new to this and currently building my first AR. I looked at Colts, Bushies, Armalite, all in person and then saw a Mega. The mega had a more consistent finish, sharper lettering and darker black. I went Mega lower and upper. Waiting on my Krieger barrel right now! |

From the info that i have read on this thread AmeeTec's are the cheapest at $90 each. Can anyone comment as to the quality of there lowers? Where would I find a webpage for MEGA? I think a just want a Standard 20" HBAR AR-15 A2 for my first build, Where would you guys think the best quality for price is for those. Again thanks in advance the info so far has been great Mike |

As long as it is forged and in spec, the brand doesn't matter the least bit. Lowers do nothing more than hold parts, they in no way affect accuracy. For that matter, you will never ever break a properly manufactured cast lower, despite what you may hear. Bushy RRA DSA/LMT DPMS Armalite All the same. Pick which roll marks you like best and you are done. |

Currently I own a Bushmaster. The latest rifle I am building is based on a Fulton Armory lower and upper. The upper has been on order for 2 weeks and the lower will go on order this week. From what I have seen of quality, all my future AR projects will be based on Fulton Armory. Good luck |

Check out the MEGA lowers at http://carricozarmory.com/ I have 2 on the way $89 each shipped. My transfer dealer will transfer both for $25 total. hug.gif |
MaineAR, I have been considering a Fulton lower as well. Have you seen their surface finish firsthand? If so, is it pretty similar to Bushmaster's (non-purple) finish? Thanks. |
