Does anyone know the dimentions for building a stand to display my AR?

The stand I am thinking of is the one that holds the AR thruogh the mag well.

Does it have to be a snug fit?

Measure a magazine...then you will have the correct fit.

Why build one when you can buy one cheaply?

That is cheap! You could also use a flat & strait magazine. Remove the spring & plastic that's on top of the spring. You can put a screw through the hole in the bottom of the magazine to mount it onto what ever you want.

Why build an AR-15 when you can buy one.

That thing is cheap but there is something about building your own stuff that you can't get from buying it.

OK...............I have built my own for under $20.00!

It came out very nice, but I can't decide if I should paint it or stain it.

Whatcha think?????
