[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Side sling mount question

I just picked up a side sling mount that mounts onto the side of the barrel beneath the sight assembly. I have a little play foward & backward. The retaining pins are in, there is no way of it coming loose but is the little bit of play I have normal. I do have the adaptor flipped for a heavy barrel which is what I have.

Some are tighter than others but movement is normal.

I had one that was like that. It was a BM. It is the one designed after the M203 side mount. Movement is normal. Alll the M203s had movement also.
