I heard that wolf ammo is bad. Comments?? |

You'd be better off searching and filtering posts for useful information. Many posts are just flames one way or another. When you compare the price of Winchester white-box ammo (40 round 'bargain' boxes) to Wolf I really don't see much in the way of savings. The quality differences are quite signifigant, though. Perhaps over a certain quantity there is some savings but I'm content with 80 rounds in a day, and usually shoot much less. I wouldn't run it through my AR, but that's mostly because I'm not crazy about steel cases. I really don't like the thought of cleaning the rifle afterwards, either. However, you were going to clean it anyway and you were going to get messy anyway, so a little more mess might not matter to you. The propellant still smells nasty. Fertilizer base stuff from what I've heard. |

8,500 rounds and counting....... 1 dud primer, no problems as long as I fire it in a chrome-chambered rifle. I swapped out the chrome-moly barrel for a Bushy 1/9 twist chrome-lined pencil barrel, and it eats Wolf %100, just like my A2-mutt and my daughter's SP-1. Buy it cheap, stack it deep, and shoot all of it you can get your paws on!!!!!! |
I seriously doubt that has anything to do with it being wolf ammo. No matter who makes it, it still has to be made within certain tolerences for it to work. Have you been able to load 10 rds into this mag before? |
Yeah that would have nothing to do with the ammo, you've got a fucked up mag thats it. BTW Wolf ammo is good at one thing and that is plinking! Dont expect awesome accuracy or fragmentation just expect it to hit the birm and look cool while your shooting it

Woo Hoo...another Wolf ammo thread. Wait one second.... okay, all set now. I have my beer and pop-corn. Never used it in the AR yet but the polymer stuff works great in the SKS. I am however, getting very tempted to try a few boxes in the AR...just to give it a try. |
Just so you know, it's a magazine not a clip. |
Somehow I think if the cartrige was fatter it wouldn't fit in the chamber?? |
Maybe he works for a media outlet? |

I use a clip when shooting my 9mm handgun. I use a magazine when using my AR15. hat |
Does it look like this when you get it out? thehighroad.org/attachment.php?s=&postid=1171964 |
So you are basically paying $14 for 100 rounds of Wolf 9mm and you think that is cheap? At Wally World you can buy 100 rounds of brass cased Winchester 9mm for 10.96. For the price you're paying for your 9mm ammo I can be shooting .40S&W for $.96 more. Also, a clip does not have the ability to feed ammunition. A clip only holds it. Your 9mm uses magazines just as your AR uses magazines. |
Not every Wally World has the WWB . I have been bitching for over a year now , and they still will not get it . |
That's not the greatest price but it's not outrageous either. For 1,000 rounds @ $2.60/box you would pay $130. I just picked up my last case of Wolf for $117.28 and that included a free Wolf t-shirt. This of course was from an online purchase (www.ammunitionstore.com). My local vendors want $175 for a case of Wolf! |
Does being a single parent of a 5, 8, and 10 year old count as having enough stress? You'll find most people here won't take any information serious, if it comes from someone who doesn't even know the difference between a clip and a magazine. I'm not one of them, but I try to inform those that don't. This is one of my pet peeves in life. I'm an instructor for the local 4H Shooting Team, and you shold see the hard time I give them on this topic. |

Wolf ammo has been known to cause cancer, blindess, infertility, hairy palms, decreased testosterone levels, and erectile disfunction in human beigns in the state of California. The DOJ has also officially listed it as, "un-American, cheap, dirty, Commie ammo that should only be used in Commie guns." This information was quoted from the internet, so in case your were wondering, it's true. ![]() JK. I use wolf ammo excusively in both my M4 and AK. No FTF, FTE, ect ever. Fire at will. |
Damn . That is more than here . By about $5 but still .

| WOW, I was starting to think I was the only one who shot wolf ammo in this neck of the woods! I'm happy to say that that is about all I shoot other than my hand loads and .22 ammo. Tried some of thier "match" .22 ammo the other day and my Ruger slab side did'nt really care for it. I can get sub moa with it out of my BM in .223. About 3/4 in. if I do everything correctly. I also shoot .45 acp , 7.62 X 39, and .40 S&W. I've been on them for 2 years about getting some .308 in my area but to no avail. Anyway , like others have said, buy a bunch and shoot , shoot , shoot.Take care. Coondog |
I'm surprised the Wolf .22 didn't shoot to good for you. Was this the match grade, standard velocity stuff? From talking to a lof serious small bore shooters, they say this is the best stuff on the market right now. |
