Hi all, I recently saw  a used colt fixed m4 type stock assembly and wondered what would be necessary to make it a functional collapsable stock again. It is pinned right over where the bolt for the release lever is located. It appears that the extension tube is not drilled or detented for the stock's different positions of adjustments? Is this correct? If so, can a new tube be used with the colt plastic portion stock or able to be simply drilled? I have read that a milspec tube is required, any ideas as where to get one as well? Is it 6 or 4 position? The pins also look like they are blind, can they be removed or drilled through? Looking to see basically what can be done (If any) to make it functional again and would it be cost effective to do so. Any help would be great! Thanks

It is cheaper and easier to just buy new one instead of trying to change something that is not the real deal most faux stocks dont have all the stuff ou need to change them like the holes on the bottom of the tube or the car spring or car buffer. just save up or just come off the hip to buy one I have the vltor one it is nice and you can get the whole kit for $170 or so ther is cheaper ones out ther check out  www.cdnninvestments.com they have some for sell .Good luck.
