Could someone with a Phantom flash suppressor, maybe laying around not attatched to a barrel, possibly take pics of it looking down the muzzle end? Basically I'm trying to find out if there is enough meat around the edges to bore out a 3/8" hole so a 9mm slug can pass through it. Or if you dont have pics, maybe just some measurments on the outside diameter and the inside diameter. Thanks in advance! |

Mongo, you are the man! Thanks so much. I'm going to get ADCO to cut and thread my barrel and I was thinking I would get them to thread it 1/2 X 28 for future suppressor use. From the pics, it looks like all that would need to be done is drill out that middle hole to 3/8". Could it be that simple? Thanks again, sir! Jake |
i think Gloftoe was going to try it out with a .308 Vortex. Don't know if its done or not.... Thread with info |

I had a perfectly good Phantom FS and decided I would make it "better" by drilling out the restriction at the base of the FS. To make a long story short, the flash suppression of the Phantom was much WORSE after boring it out. It still looks great, but doesn't work nearly as well in suppressing flash. |
