I just got my barrel for my new project today. I got this Bushmaster barrel from GSE It's a SBR pre-ban 14.5" 1:9 M4 barrel. I installed it on a Bushmaster V-match flattop upper with a BM carry handle for now. Yes that's a pre-ban Colt lower (notice the color difference) but that's not the upper's final destination. I'm working on the custom lower still. I put on the YHM 2-piece 4-rail handguards and I gotta say....you can't beat these for the price!  Nice and tight and a perfect fit.

| Nothings wrong with it, other than the colors don't match. The new stuff is just way darker than the older Colt Grey stuff. I'm just impatient and want to test fire this new upper. It's final home will be on a Bushmaster pre-ban lower I'm working on, with a M4 stock and 2-stage trigger. |
Not a damn thing...that was my point, I like it more than mine  Not to knock the stock handguards that Bushmaster put on my M4 profile upper, but the YHM ones (shown above) seem more servicable with more mounting points. |
Did you check out the link for the handguards? I think you'll like them, especially for the price. |
a Magpul or VLTOR stock sure would spice it up.  Rocky, don't sweat the color variation. It's no big deal IMO. I have a Colt Sporter in which the lower is colored much different than the upper (Colt grey vs. black). Your rifle looks nice to me.
