The last couple times I have shot my AR I have noticed that there is a whiteish brown substance around the edges of my FSB almost like it it coming from underneath it. Anyone know what it is or have any suggestions of how to get rid of it? I have not tried anything yet. Thanks |
Amazingly, it seems to me, unless the contract calls for it in the specs, the default seems to be, park it after assembly. This is one of those things the Colt guys (rightfully) point to, since Colt rifles stick closely to the military configuration. |
Neither of my LMT's are parked under the FSB. Here is a thread where I asked this question before buying my uppers. LMT barrels |
Well the product infront of your face is the best evidence I suppose |
The only reason I know is that one of them has a KAC FF RAS on it which requires removal of the handguard cap. This leaves a little gap behind the FSB where you can see bare metal. Other than that you really can't tell. |
