Just Wondering if you guys lock up your AR's at home, or do you display them proudly?
pics if you have them, of AR's displayed.

I choose security over display but since I live on a second floor apartment a 1000 lbs safe would not work. Therefore mine are stashed all around the apartment in hard to find places.

I always have kept them locked up and got a safe or two as soon as I could.

Locked up in a safe. I definitely don't want my firearms hanging on the wall where some inbred could kick in my door and take them.

If you don't have a safe and still want the security without having to resort to "hiding" them, I use a cable lock around a solid fixture.  Not 100% effective, but it will prevent the weapon from just "walking away."  Also security cameras to identify the crook.

It's funny how times have changed:

As a boy, I used to look through the Sears catalog, drooling over pictures of their fancy gun cabinets, full of rifles and shotguns. I would dream of having such in my living room some day........

.....Today, as a "grown-up", I would not even think of displaying my stuff in such a cabinet (and I live in a very low crime area).

For the most part I keep them all in the safes, but I always sleep with my AR loaded next to my bed. Just in case.

Mine are lined up against my wall in their respective soft cases.

Mine are in a safe but I have been looking for gun racks or even just the brass hooks to hang some on to make room in my safe . The problem is though I can only find safes and cases I'v ebeen to 3 local sops and Walmart and each one tells me the same thing , they don't sell gun racks anymore because they are not politically correct .

My Great-Grandpa's old ford has a gunrack built in on the rear window... I guess times have changed

I still keep my AR in the factory box

Personally I'd rather cover my behind than show off my collection. Since we live in a world where a burglar can break into your home, steal your stuff, shoot himself in the foot, and then sue you (not to mention use your rifles in a crime making you potentially liable in civil court) I can't think of a single reason to have a gun collection on display.

I'll take discretion any day of the week.

In the case next to my bed. When I get my SA XD-40, that little guy will be the surprise for any intruders.

Nice choice I should of went with the XD40 but chose the XD9, Damn local dealer
didn't have the xd40 in stock and it was going to be weeks to get it. I had gun  fever so I had to have one, So XD9 it was, I dont regret it.
