I'm one of the krazy krylon krew.  just did an oly for shits and grins with krylon fusion on the original A2 stock, carbine hand guards and a pachmeyer grip.  the question i have is it has dried in the Yuma Arizona 110 degree sun for 7 days and it still feels really tacky.  it is done in red (don't flame, it has a purpose).  any ideas on the setting time for this or did i fu*& something up?  thanx, and thanx to everyone for the plethora of information i have gotten from this site.

Should be dry by now, especially in this heat.
Could be that it wasn't shaken well enough or that it's a bad batch.
Are all the parts still tacky?
Probably won't work very well on the Pachmeyer rubber.

Did you apply it in thin enough coats?

I put some epoxy paint on once that I recoated before the first coat had completely cured. It caused the finish to get soft and it nevered cured out hard after that.

That Krylon dries real quick but if you do as j3 says it will take it forever and a day to cure...

True.

Also, I think you let it dry in too high of heat man! Read the back of the bottle!

Did you prep surface with alcohol? Might be oils under paint not allowing paint to cure.

I think the product sucks after using it on a few projects, but basic things are still in order for its use (if you must use it).

1.  Degrease your surface.  That means chemical degrease.

2.  Shake product like your life depends on it.

3.  Spray multiple thin coats on a heated surface, waiting for each coat to dry.
