Ebay and Paypal....I have written them about their position on NOT selling completely innocuous shooting item just for having the letters "AR" in the description. They pulled a scope I was selling because it said "Designed for the AR-15 carry handle"...we are talking glass here...a fkn optical scope...but I digress. They basically told me that they were hippies and were applying the laws in California to all sales on their site. Said it wasnt worth the legal fees to determine the individual state laws, and since they were based in CA (and hate conservatives), it was less risky (for them) to simply abide by the laws within the People's Republic of CA. Also, just lookup the NRA blacklist...they have a pretty comprehensive listing of everyone that INTENDS on disarming all of us. |

Are you sure Costco has the signs? Maybe it's just Texas; but I just joined Costco and vaguely remembered hearing about such a thing; but looked for the sign and couldn't see one. Really, for anti-gun and anti-american, (forgive the stereotype), anyone involved in education (the academics who are the foundainhead for marxism, and the students of theirs who get the lowest GPAs - school teachers), and pretty much anyone involved in entertainment (especially movies). I don't outright boycott movies; but it weighs on my decision: "Will I drag myself to see that movie, or wait?" and I put off going long enough for said movie to expire. Yeah, I'm a crank. |

pretty much anyone involved in entertainment (especially movies). Although I agree with you that what you see on your television portrays the extreme left of the entertainment industry, you are wrong. I worked professionally in the music industry for 7 years. There are extremely conservative pro-American people in the entertainment business. Problem is, when you are in the entertainment business and you are pro 2A and pro-America, you are blacklisted by the mainstream so that they may continue shining their light on that fat piece of shit Michael Moore. There are plenty of good people in the entertainment business, plenty. |

What a pointless non-AR15 related thread. Much of the cotton that is in many of the name brand jeans and shirts most of us wear comes from places like Egypt and Africa, where many Muslim extremists come from. Only a very small percentage comes from domestically produced farms anymore. Did the extremists have anything to do with the foreign cotton? probably not. Al Qaeda is not big into cotton. Opium, maybe, but not cotton. You can't boycott it because the cotton may be grown in egypt, the cloth made in mexico and sold under an american label because it was sewn in a sweat shop in new york city, then sold in Dillards at the mall and you got it for a christmas present last year. You would never even know you were wearing it. What are you going to do, go naked? wear only polyester? Give me a break. Do all French people dislike America? No. Many, particularly businessmen, love America and hate Chirac. So go and punish them, that makes a whole lot of sense. right. whatever. IBTL |
"Mainstream" in the entertainment industry is (what may be known as) "extreme left". That anyone to the "right" of Karl Marx has to keep his head down is an indicator that such people are not particularly common at all, at least those who are "front and center". Behind the scenes, I figure there must be a core of non-stoners who keep the TECHNICAL side of the products and business planning intact. I'll reword my statement as "celebrities" and "creative visionaries". The Michael Moore thing has me dumbfounded. I realize that Bowling for Columbine may be believable as few people know about guns. But THESE people should know SOMETHING about the subject matter, at least enough to notice AND REPORT on the outright misdirection in F911. Instead, Michael Moore is going to get awards and accolades out the a**. |
