Now I have noticed allot of talk about HBAR weight.  I for one prefer a HBAR.   But I have noticed a bit of diversity in HBARS.

For example My Colt 6700 had a uniform diameter even under the guard.

My Armalite M15A4 tapers under the guard and my Bushie is the heaviest of all as its diameter expands under the handguards.

Is there any other comparisons that anyone else has seen?

I have seen the exact same thing. No standard to "HBAR" it seems. HBAR in the past were marketed as a "plus" but most caught on that it was just a cheaper way for the manufacturers to get barrels to market (less machine work).

I personally love HBARs for a multitude of reasons. Foofy lightweight barrels are for the pussies too weak to heft an HBAR.

(I realize this too is a gross generalization)
