first things first, this has got to be the best and most informative website i've ever seen in my life. everyone on here more than willing to help answer other peoples questions. i just bought a bushy varmint special and since i put a scope on it, it won't fit back in the bushy case. i've seen some pics on here where guys have cases that have the foam cut out and their ar's fit perfectly in them. there is one pic on here somewhere that has an ar in the lid and the bottom of the case along with a pistol and some extra mags and other acc.. i know that i'm not giving you guys much to go on but any info on where to get a case like that and how to cut the foam and make it look all purty will be GREATLY appreiciated.    thanks again!!

Pelican and Starlight are the most common brands. I think Quarterbore has a starlight for sale on the equipment exchange if you search under topic author.

I have a pelican but I have seen starlights and they seem to be pretty similar

I have a Starlight and love it but I only use it when I know I want to take more then just my rifle with me because the case is HUGE and I don't have a truck and putting it in the call is kind of ridiculous with it's size if I just want to shoot the AR.  I have cutouts for my my 3 gun firearms in the case, so I bought a 10$ case from Scheels that I can put just my AR, Nikon scope and Eotech.  Pack a range bag with ammo and tools and I'm good to go.  The Starlight wasn't/isn't as "convienient as the smaller case but I would NEVER consider using the smaller case in a situation where the gun could get really abused.....the starlight would be my, and many others choice in that situation.

Get a Starlight, I have one for my ArmaLites,  I can toss it in the back of my pickup and not worry about it at all

This website is very informative and has also gotten and getting me in more trouble with the wife. I bought my first AR back in 99 and since I've been at  this sight about 3 months I have put together 2 more and have a lower finished. Anyway get the Starlight. I learned of them from this sight. Best damn case there is.

Remember now that Starlight has a smaller case, 38", that I can fit my carbine, a few accessories and a clean change of underwear.
