| I too will spend the Xtra money on bushmaster they are more consistent and a field rifle should be easier to strip.I have 1 RRA lower and the only upper that would fit was an A1 DK marked upper wich still needed to be worked in a little. They need to start loosening things up a bit.Having stuff that does not fit easily takes away from the modularity and the ease of swapping parts from the design.Still I love their lower parts, handguards and telestock assemblies. |

All RRA lower receivers are VERY TIGHT. You can put a couple drops of oil on the rear lug and work it in and out until it fits. RRA figured it was better to have people complain about them being too tight, than too lose. Too tight can easily be fixed....... Your "issue" (not problem) is quite common, and concerned me at first as well. |
I don't think its any QC issue. Its just that their new lowers and made to be tight, just as bigbore already stated. They will losen up with useage. People complain when their lose and also complain when their tight. Some times you just can't win, but I'll take tight over lose any day. |
I'm sorry this is going to sound like a markm comment but... [asshole mode on] Duh??? you've got over 1000 posts here. Do you ever read any? You are bitching and moaning like this is some kind of news flash. Here, for the 1 millionth time... RRA purposely mills their lowers to be tight in the rear takedown pin area. Some will be tighter than others. Some will be hand tight, some will require fitting. Some people love this "feature" and some hate it because it is not mil-spec. what ever your personal view is on this subject... PLEASE KEEP IT TO YOURSELF!!! This issue has been beat to death!!! ![]() [/asshole mode off] Again, sorry but I couldn't help it |
