I am in the process of SBRing a POST ban lower, and crossing my fingers that the ban sunsets. I'm going to leave the muzzle bare for now, and if the ban sunsets, I'll have it threaded. My question is : How much bare barrel do I need to leave sticking out from the front sight post, assuming I want as little gap as possible between the front sight post and the muzzle device. Threads are 1/2" in length, correct? So, would, say 5/8" bare muzzle be enough (should leave 1/8" clearance) or do I need to leave a bit more room? Thanks! Jake |
