I have been looking for a 'field repair kit' ie. extra springs/firing pin, etc.  Does anyone have a preference?  I was thinking of getting this one:

For only $7.00 more, I'd buy this one

Bushy complete spare parts kit

I have a bunch of these kits kickign around, and they are a great value for the money. Since many of my ARs are Colts I don't use the disconnectors, but everything else works fine.

The only time I needed a spare part, I didn't have it in all the field repair kits I had: an extractor.

Now that's more like it.  Thanks!

I know.  Murphy's Law.

All I have in mine are a spare extractor, extractor spring, extractor insert, pin that holds it in, spare cotter pin, and firing pin.

Most everything else is not field replaceable...that is, if my hammer breaks, or my mag catch snaps, it's not something I want to be dorking around with in the middle of the range.

But that's just me, and home is a scant 2 minutes from the range.

That may be, but some of us don't like to wait a week for a small part to arrive before we can put our rifles back in actoin, nor do we want to spend a bunch of money on shipping everytime we need a small part.  Thus, having a complete parts set at home waiting for you is very handy.

Thought he meant "on hand", not "in stock"
