[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Using the same upper on different lowers?

I ordered a colt lower to start to piece together here and there as I get more money. Figure piece by piece. Anyway, is there any reason to not go try it out with the upper from my other rifle?

Usually people start with an extra upper to put on their lower, then add another lower. You have chosen another path. This is how the sickness begins

it really started because I decided i wanted a colt rifle. I had the cash for a lower and found one i wanted so I just got it. Eventually I'll get the upper for it. Not sure exactly what yet but I've got an idea. It's gonna cost me though
