I have read the stuff that some of u guys have posted about penetration of metal plates and karosene tanks...etc. but can we see some true accuracy of an Ar-15 on the targets? PLease show distances too! hug.gif |

lol classes on shooting my butt, I need classes. That target is proof that with the right gun anyone can hit the broad side of a barn!!! The flyer is a freak, dunno what happened there. Might have seen a wabbit on the range and was thinkin more about shooting it than the target.

 I did the same thing with a Skillcraft pen. I can't help but wonder how many people who make sub-MOA claims at 250+ ranges are for real. I have no doubt it's possible and that a lot of guys on here do it, guven the forum, but I am sure some are "big fish" claims as well. ps... not a dig on you kells81, just making a point as I'm sure you would agree. |

No photo, but I did manage a MOA group at 50 yards (.5") with a box stock DPMS AR and XM193. Nothing amazing, but proof that the rifle is certainly as accurate as I am capable of shooting. I'm guessing an "accuratized" AR with a match barrel and match ammo has the potential to be scarily accurate, but I don't know of anyone that uses their AR for only bench shooting.... |

I personaly witnesed a local game warden at the range with a RRA with 24 bull stainless Wilson barrel. It had a RRA match trigger and was shooting hand loads he had worked up with Berger bullets. He was shooting groups at 200yds that you could cover with a dime!! I made the comment that I wished I could do that and he said with this weapon you can, give it a try. I shoot left handed, his rig was set up righthand and I thought it rude to move it. So I sat down( Im sorta ambidexterous anyway) and shot a group you could cover with a quarter!! Needless to say I was impressed and my next build will be along that line. I can pull that off with some bolt guns, but never that distance with a semi. I would like the next build to be around a long range upper in 6.8 spc. If the ammo thing ever takes off so that brass will be plentifull enough to handload. The piont is as said before, if you got the right pee shooter, it is easier to make a good shot. What seperates the men from the boys is BEING a good shot with a rattle trap pile of crap handed to you and learning to shoot it well. |
I once shot a 1/4" group at 500 yards! It was raining and I had a crosswind blowing aprox 20mph. O ya, and it was night time, in december, the temp was -10 and I was naked...lol...jk  On a serious note, kells81, good shootin and I dig that rig! I plan on taking a new RRA liteweight build to the range on Thrusday. I will post my results at 100 yards but I must ask you guys not to laugh  Here is a quik pic of her, I am very pleased with how this one turned out..
