I have the shortest (i.e., "benchrest") Harris on an ARMS QD mount (#32?) so that I can move it from rifle to rifle.

You might want the medium bipod for field use; mine is mostly for zeroing optics at the range.

And, yes, if I remove my M3 light, I can fit the bipod on my DD 7.0 in front of my TD grip.

You COULD get a bipod other than Harris, but I don't really recommend it.

Unless your rifle is a "range queen" and you don't anticipate firing it on open ground EVER, make sure you get the "swivel" option.
