As I said on my other thread I'm new to AR15's, and this question may be stupid and if so I'm sorry. I noticed on my Armalite/Eagle Arms M15 that the stock and the forearm have a slight twist to them. I was wondering if that is because the gun is held together on the 2 pins at the rear of the reciever and at the front of the reciever. Thanks for the help in advance.

Are you holding the handguards when you detect this 'twist'?  Some handguards do move if you twist on them, it wouldn't mean there's a bunch of slop in the upper to lower fit, just some handguard movement.  Try holding the barrel or the upper receiver itself and see how much motion you notice...

There is a slight movement to the handguards on one of my rifles, but that is the hanguards only. It has not affected the funtion or accuracy of my rifle in any way.

As mentioned, there is some movement in most handguards.......but..........

it's common for the upper receiver to have a little play with the lower receiver.

These are the 2 parts that are held together by the pushpins

For normal shooters, this won't affect anything.

If you don't like it, buy and Accuwedge - it's a piece of rubber designed to tighten up the fit.

There is a small notch in the front handguard cap, but other than that, only friction holds them in place.
