Anyone know if there still around.
Saw a pistol they made and was looking for info.
They were in CA  about 1999 but could only find info from 2002 in AZ and links and phone #'s are dead

My understanding is that they went bankrupt, and that their equipment and name (such as it is) was bought by Bushmaster.

That seems to be a rather contentious issue-there have been several discussions relating to it on the boaard recently. I think the answer is no, but I would get that straight from Bushmaster.

From another thread, apparently Bushmaster will do warranty work, as long as it isn't too expensive.  They just bought the tooling and inventory, not PO itself, so they didn't take on any of their liabilities and any warranty is purely generocity on their part.

That being said, I'd avoid PO's carbon series rifles, and the new bushmaster versions of them, like the plague.  Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Bushmaster has indeed offered to do warranty work for Prof Ord.  However, they don't claim to be writing a blank check to fix every and any type failure that might be encountered in an old carbon gun.  I know for a fact that they replaced a bolt/carrier for my buddy's Carbon 15, and per earlier threads on this forum, they have helped others.

Thanks guys [:)]
A buddy has one and wanted to see about parts to build one, looks like I will be having aluminum recievers milled to lighten them if I want to proceed.

Looked at Cav Arms site but did not find lower recievers that would accept a pistol buffer, all had an integral stock.

In all fairness to Bushmaster, I believe their official statement was that they would repair PO weapons with what parts they had aquired in the purchase of the old PO equipment.  They have changed up the design somwhat for their own pistol, so they simply don't have replacements of certain parts, i.e. the PO upper receiver.

In any case, PO=bad juju.  The locking lugs have a tendency to shear off making for a kB! and there is essentially no warranty on their goods except whatever charity work Bushmaster will do...
