I am interested in getting into reloading for the 223. Is there anyone that sells a beginner setup. I need to get everything including the tools to measure length etc. Any suggestions where to start looking? I would like to start small (i.e. on a budget) and learn the basics. Time is not realy a concern, learning the proper things is.

A good start would be to check the Reloading Forum. Based on its title, I'll bet they have a lot of reloading information there.

If you shoot a large volume of ammo just for pure plinking fun, reloading won't be worth it for .223 because you can just buy cheap surplus for just about what you could reload for.  Not to mention it takes a lot of time to reload.

Now if you are shooting a varmint or precision rig and want match grade ammo, then reloading is worth it.  I have a varmint AR that I load for, and ammo costs about 50% less than match factory stuff depending on the brand (like 70% savings over Federal match).

Check out the reloading forum here for more answers:  http://ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=1&f=9

ck www.rcbs.com  and ask for a catalog, they send a little book for free that will explain everything.
But you won't save any money but you will shoot a lot more

You will save a ton of $$ if you like to shoot tracers though. You can get 200 bullets for $14 and load them, to buy them from Talon or surplus will cot you at least $7 per box of 20, you do the math...
