DPMS and Bushmaster both sell lower parts kits or you can just buy the buffer retaining pin, or by the pin and the lower parts kit then you'll have a replacement for all your parts on hand. FWIW, they also sell the Field repair kits which have many of most commonly replaced parts. All of these items should be "on your list" to purchase and keep in stock as a broken part or buffer retaining pin that "shoots off into the wild blue yonder" can really be a detriment, especially in a SHTF situation.
