I got a mushroom shaped buffer from blackjack.  Where does it go, it looks like it fits in the back of the bolt.   But the only way it would go back together is to take the stock off.    HELP!!!!
TIA

Homepage, lower assembly instruction in lower left menu, under Assembly IIRC.

Yep, goes in the buffer tube, although it's not necessary to remove the stock to change your buffer. Simply push down on the buffer tube retaining pin (after you have seperated/pivoted upper away from lower) and your existing buffer and spring can be removed......

Why would you buy a buffer if you don't know what it is for, or where it goes? Do you even need a new buffer? Did you get the right kind of buffer for your setup?

I suggest you read the Tech and Maint. manuals. Links are posted on the left side of the Home Page and they have pictures and everything, and will tell you how to replace your buffer.

Not the big buffer, a little synthetic polymer buffer, a Recoil buffer.   And it was free!!!!

Ya probably don't need it as most AR15 buffers already have this issue solved....., I would not mess with a rifle as your a bit to new to this stuff obviously and may mess things up trying to install the "recoil buffer" which makes most of laugh, not at you, but we were all new once and have all bought stuff only to find out later is was NOT NECESSARY.
