Anyone have any experience with the quality of American Spirit Arms out of Arizona? I am looking to mate my new Colt lower on a decent upper.

My past inquiries about ASA on this board turned out very negative responses. I had a 9mm upper receiver and it had tolerance problems.
I can say that Bushmaster and Rock River have good quality and would recommend them even if they cost a few bucks more.

Most ASA small parts are Chinese. Their uppers usually have gas port and chamber problems. The owner is an a$$hole. Go with Colt, RRA, Bushmaster, Armalite.

Then buy a Bushmaster or Colt upper.

Go with the ASA stuff the parts they sell are not Chinese made.
The lies and BS that has been perpetuated by AR15. com members is mostly hersey.
They make a quality product.

I have used ASA parts for a few years now.  I have had no problems.

I do not think that they are import part, but I am not sure.

I have a friend that has an ASA varmint type rifle, an M4 clone by ASA.  Both run like a champ, and are accurate as hell.

I've seen tons of negative shit posted on the web, but the ASA stuff I've actually seen, all ran fine and looked good.

Of course, I have only Bushmaster and Rockriver ARs, and I only live a couple miles from ASA's shop, so make your own choices.

For a drop on upper, right now RRA is tough to beat.
