I have an Essential Arms Pre Ban that hase been great for the past 12 years or so....BUT..now I find that the hammer pin seems to be walking out towards the left side of the reciever....and when the hammer gets to a certain angle it creates a 2 shot burst....Is there any type of locking pin???  I really don't want to scare the guys at the range...

You can try anti-walk pins, they should fit the hammer also. http://bushmaster.com/shopping/lowers/we-002.asp

Check your hammer to see if the J-pin is still in place. It's a small J shaped pin that fits up into hammer to hold it on the pin. If it is in place try a new hammer and pin next. DSA has the best anti-walk pins if you need to go that route.

I agree with ARK15, check the J-Pin.  I had one break about 3-4 weeks ago.  The pin kept walking out the left side.  Took it apart and noticed that I could not see the J-Pin when I looked through the hammer pin hole.  Ordered a new hammer and life is fine!

Here's my thread on the troubleshooting board:

Hope this helps
