The images aren't the best.

The top one is a Colt with an M4 upper (from Tommy at GPSS).  It has an RRA collapsible stock, an EOTech 512 AA, and an ARMS #40 flip up sight.

The bottom rifle is a Bushmaster with a Colt upper and the LE entry stock from J&T Distributing.

Damn Good looking Rifles 82nd.[beer]

The top one is exactly the look I am going after except I am going to put the Tactical Flash Light on it.

I think I am going with the Sure Fire with the push button switch on the end cap.

Wait a minute! The Colt on the top is that the one you were going to sell me.[}:D]

Great pics, great looking rifles, 82nd!
Man, I love it when people post pics of their newly created toyz!
I bought another stripped lower over the weekend to build into "something".

Keep up the good work.

Take care, shoot safe.

What is that on the grip of the top one? I have one with bike intertube streched over it and it looks a lot like that.

Thanks for your interest.  That's a Hogue slip-on grip.  I've been using one on my M9 since 1992 and love it.  So, I decided to try it on my AR.  It feels great.

Hey 82nd. I was 11b in Aco 3/505 from 88-92.

Where you there when the M4's were issued? Do you know what accessories were specifically issued to the 82nd?

Did you get a chance to use the LBV's. We were using the old y-harness and belt(LBE). When we jumped we unbuckled the LBE and slid it down our hips to fit(under/behind) the chute harness. What about the belts attached to the LBV's? What was jumping SOP for equipment? Thanks

Hey Chup, your name sounds very familiar.  What company were you with on sand hill?  What company were you with in the 507th?  Maybe we trained at the same time.

I was C co. 4/30th on Sand Hill.  And I was in A co. in the 507th.

Maybe we went to Ranger school together?  I'm not sure.

I chickened out of RIP and went straight to the 82nd after ABN School. Never went to Ranger School.

But I was in Echo 4/30. It was end of Aug. thru Dec.(1988) ABN School was in Jan. I kinda regret not going to RIP sometimes.

I got to go to Panama and Desert Storm though.

I have much respect for you guys that were in the Rangers Bat's.

Hoohah.

Wow, we were just around the corner from each other.  We were at the 4/30th at the same time.

I was there from Sep.6th - Dec.

Outstanding!

I was with 4/325 in Panama.  Got my mustard stain there. [:)]

Glad to have you around.

Oh man, it works perfectly.  The front sight post is no hindrance at all.

I bought both the GG&G BUIS and the ARMS #40 - I mounted them and decided to keep the ARMS and sell the GG&G.  There was nothing wrong with the GG&G, its just that the ARMS seemed to fit my needs more.  Personal preference kinda thing.

You're going to really like that set up.

I feel like a spoiled kid after sinking about 600 rds through her - it was a literal blast.  I couldn't be happier.

Dang!  Rotten luck.  Sorry to hear it, but glad you still have at least something left from those times.  It sounds like at least your rifles are reliable.

No kidding - the very first things I secured were my weapons, ammo, and vehicle.  Ended up being the only things I kept - but that's OK.

I got the most important things.
