| As I understand this is going to be voted on in sept of 2004. Are we voting on the whole thing "stocks ,bayo lugs and flash hiders" or just the hi cap mag part of it? |

As it's been stated before - The '94 Crime Bill provisions will expire if it's in the GOP's best political interest. If they don't think we care, they'll renew it, just to get a few more votes from the anti's. So what should we do? The same thing I'm doing - send a note, fax, or e-mail to your elected representatives. Remind them that this wasn't a particularly good piece of legislation then, and it hasn't gotten any better with age. Remind them that it didn't reduce crime, and it didn't reduce criminals obtaining guns. Then, let them know that you will not be supporting them, unless they support you. If everybody on this forum contacted their Representatives, and Congressmen, it would be a big thing! |
