Is there any reason why I would not be able to mount an Aimpoint on the top of an A3 carry handle, without worry about it loosing Zero, due to the handle itself coming loose, or taking the handle on/off? (im asking for alot out of it aint I...lol) Kind of late, as it is sitting in wait for me, but at the time thought a flattop with the attachable handle may work out better. Thanks, ReaperVelle |
| I don't see why you can't if that's what you want. People do it all the time. The only disadvantage is that you get the scope up so high. You really want to try and keep your scope as low to the barrel as possible. That is my thoughts on the situation, as I thought of doing the same thing you are asking. I love scopes, but want the iron sights as a back up. |

From what I am reading, the question is that of re-zero. With it on the detachable carry handle there are now two things that have to nail up exactly the same way each time. While I don’t have an aimpoint, I do have a Trijicon Reflex on my flattop with the A.R.M.S system, with the backup iron, and have to say that I love it. Flawless re-zero. I also have the A.R.M.S mount for my rem 700 sniper that holds a big old Night Force scope on it. People at the range don’t believe that that will re-zero till I conduct a little demo and end up with the “Hmmm, Impressive!” comments. I concur, keep it off the handle if you have a choice, and you cant loose with the A.R.M.S system. |
