I recently acquired my first AR, an A2 Bushy shorty (crowned muzzle), about a week ago and have already fallen to the curse of black rifle fever. I am considering changing my standard handguard to either an M4 or a FIRSH (since I cannot mount a SIR). What are the advantages/disadvantages to going with an M4 or FIRSH handguard? Are they easier to hold onto, provide more efficient cooling, add to the "coolness" factor? I also plan to add a SOF CQB sling to it if/when I do get a different handguard, and after looking @ their website, it shows that they have them for the standard and M4 handguards but I did not see anything to indicate if it would attach to a FIRSH or not. Anyone have any experience/knowledge if the SOF will attach to the FIRSH? |
