Fellas. I am in Minneapolis MN. I have been to alot of different gun dealers in town. I want to buy a colt carbine m4 6400c. I want the muzzle brake and pinned position telescopic style stock. I believe this model comes standard with these options. Anyhow, nobody seems to want to help me get one ordered. They tell me they are impossible to get, but I could get a bushmaster, or dpms etc., anytime I wanted. Anyone have any info that could help me out in MN? I need to order from a federal arms dealer though. What's up man? Why will nobody help me get my hands on a colt?

Search the Equipment Exchange for ArmyInf or OneShotCinci. Contact both of them and see if they have any available or if they can get you one in a reasonable amount of time. Both are excellent guys to deal with. The 6400c's are hard to find and when you do find one you'll need to arange for it to be shipped to your FFL. Also, check the Colt Industry board there was a thread on there about a dealer in Texas that had a bunch of them...their phone number was included in the thread. HTH |
They are harder to find than Bushmasters, but they are worth it. Im sure there is someone out there who has one in stock. My un dealer was usless, and said the same thing. I looked on the internet and found a dealer who had them in stock, and it too me 5 minuts. If you look, you will find one. I got mine at rockymountainguns.com, or something like that.
Thnxs for the info. I know this is a common question, but just from para-bush15's point of view, why do you not like colt? I do know one thing. Colt seems to act like they are to good for everyone or something. Like, they made the gun, they don't have to give info on a website or answer questions, but people will still buy from them just because they are colt. ***holes. I have found that bushmaster is alot easier to deal with and they are readily available. Anyway.
I just bought one from Steve's Guns in Springfield, MO. I found him through gunsamerica.com Price was 917 cash or check and 2.5% more for credit card. I'm not sure if I am allowed to post a number since he isn't a site sponser or anything but if I can't let me know and I will edit my post (417)-889-4867. Hope this helps.
I was able to find a local guy here who had one in stock. New in the box. I paid a little more. $930 was what it cost me. Looks good though. The only thing I don't like is the muzzle brake. It is alright I guess but prefer the original bird cage style. I'm not even sure what style this one is but it looks as though it is just pinned in place. Mine has 3 vertical wide cuts passing completely through the brake. Then the left over material actually just has the 223 size hole right down the center for the bullet to pass. The end is closed off except for the bullet exit hole. Has any one seen this style (if you can picture it) and have you replaced it witht the bird cage style brake? Just wondering if it ends up messing up the end of the barrel or if it is easy to do.
